Didier Uwizera

Information Technology (IT) Specialist

Didier joined the Access Project team as the IT Specialist in May 2008. He uses his skills and experience to ensure that a quality information system is in place so as to increase the project’s capacity to meet its objectives. As a member of the specialist team, Didier also supports health centers in the IT management domain.

Prior to joining Access, Didier worked in SORAS (Société Rwandaise d’Assurance), one of Rwanda’s foremost insurance companies, as a systems analyst in the medical department. Didier was also responsible for research and development within the SORAS IT department, where he participated in the implementation of an integrated Management Information System (with 9 different modules) which is used by many companies in East African Countries. At SORAS he was also a member of management committee of MEDIPLAN product one of the main insurance scheme in Rwanda. Didier holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Applied in Management from the National University of Rwanda. He has also strong knowledge in database management system, Cisco Networking and software development.
