Evode Uwanyirigira

Global Health Corps Fellow - Ngoma District

Evode joins the Access Project team as a Global Health Corps Fellow in the Ngoma District. His many responsibilities include conducting health center management assessments, reporting on the status and progress of Access Project interventions, providing hands-on managerial and technical support to all health centers in the district, and working to coordinate the efforts of the Access Project and its local partners.

Prior to joining the Access Team, Evode worked with Merez Petroleum as an accountant. He graduated from the National University of Rwanda with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences in February 2011. While at the university he was Vice-President of the Accounting Students Association (ASA-NUR) and spearheaded the initiative of writing a simplified Kinyarwanda Accounting book.  He also served as the Treasurer and Auditor for the NUR Gender Club at the university. Evode was the winner of an inter-university competition organized by Rwanda Revenue Authority under the theme “How To Improve The Taxation Of SMEs While Ensuring Their Growth.”
