Community Mobilization Officer

Malick joined the Access Project team in May 2008. Malick is a communication specialist who is in charge of IEC and community mobilization. His responsibilities include developing communication strategies, concept design and production of educational materials such as posters, leaflets, brochures, booklets, videos and the production of different radio programs used in social and community mobilization in the fight against NTDs in Rwanda. As the media liaison, Malick writes articles, success stories and press releases. He is also in charge of updating the Access Project Website, designing the layout of newsletters, brochures, reports, fact sheets and other printable documents.

Prior to working for Access, Malick worked as a communication officer at the Socio Security Fund of Rwanda for 5 years after working with the Rwanda National University as an information officer and assistant web master. Malick has performed several jobs as a consultant and served as an account and production manager at Creative Communications, Rwanda’s leading advertising company. He also developed a 5 year communication strategy for the fight against TB in Rwanda. Malick has a bachelor’s degree in Communications, a diploma in Information Sciences and a certificate in Management of Health Services, Research Methodology, Epidemiology and BCC from the School of Public Health at the National University of Rwanda.
