Therese Uwimana

Senior Accountant

Therese joined the Access Project in June 2008. As the senior accountant, Therese ensures that the project’s accounting practices conform to international accounting standards, donor requirements, and Rwandan government regulations. She is also responsible for verifying and posting transactions in the accounting software, maintaining updated accounting records and preparing annual financial statements. 

Therese’s past professional experiences include her work as a senior auditor at the Office of the auditor General of State Finances in Rwanda (2006 to 2008) and as the internal auditor for FARG, the national fund for genocide survivors in Rwanda (2004-2006). Therese holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from the National University of Rwanda and she is currently pursuing an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Eastern Africa Baraton in Kenya.
