During his fellowship, Ted Haack focused on preparing action plans to improve forecasting, procurement and distribution of drugs and equipment and building capacity in Rwanda’s Mutuelle programs, which provide insurance to individual subscribers.

Ted is in his fifth year at Pfizer and is currently Director of the Pricing & Reimbursement Group in the Primary Care Business Unit.  His team is responsible for payer planning and strategy for all Primary Care products for both clinical development and in-line products.  Since joining Pfizer, he has been actively involved in many access to medicines initiatives, including the Global Access Project, and interactions with external stakeholders including UNAIDS, DFID, Oxfam and the World Health Organization.  He has an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and an MA in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University with a master’s thesis focusing on drug pricing in resource-poor settings.
