Patricia worked as a Health Statistician/Epidemiologist Fellow with the Access Project from Mary-July 2008. During her fellowship, Patricia developed systems to collect data for program monitoring and evaluation for district health offices, district hospitals and village health centers to enable collection and management of key health data for further systems development. She helped to create a process to ensure data collection systems and data harmonization at the national level for ease in reporting, developed standard SPSS analysis programs to report the results, and mentored Access staff in data collection, management and analysis. The completion of Patricia’s assignment allowed Access to better assess the impact of its health intervention programs, and provide informative reports to its donors and other organizations.
Patricia received her Dr.PH. from the Department of Biostatistics at the UCLA School of Public Health, where she specialized in statistics and minored in epidemiology. She received her M.S. in Biostatistics from the Department of Biostatistics at the UCLA School of Public Health and her B.A. in Mathematics from UC Irvine.
