M•A•C AIDS Fund

M•A•C AIDS Fund was established in 1994 by M•A•C Cosmetics to support men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS globally. Introducing its first VIVA GLAM lipstick that same year, M•A•C decided that every cent of the selling price of the VIVA GLAM lipsticks would go to the M•A•C AIDS Fund. The fund has supported the Access Project’s activities in Kenya and Rwanda, and is a co-funder, with the Stephen Lewis Foundation, of the Millennium Research Village in Rwanda.

Sabin Vaccine Institute (SVI) builds bridges between leaders in science, academia, industry, and government to create solutions to worldwide health threats. As the secretariat for The Global Network for Neglected Tropical Disease Control, SVI supports the NTD control program in Rwanda.

The Schmidt Family Foundation’s mission is to advance the creation of an increasingly intelligent relationship between human activity and the use of the world’s natural resources. The foundation engages in activities for charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes and operates various charity programs to support education, in particular the rapid deployment of renewable energy technologies. The foundation is giving its support to improve health services in Rwanda thorough focused interventions at selected health centers in dire need of improvement.

MAIA® supports and advocates for improved health and health literacy for women in Sub-Saharan Africa. MAIA specifically seeks to improve maternal health, reduce maternal mortality and improve access to reproductive and family planning services for women. Through the Access Project, MAIA is fulfilling their mission by supporting the rehabilitation of a health center and health post in the rural regions of Rwanda.
